aqui<http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Index#Open_submissions>),

Subject: Re: [WikiX-l] Wikipedia 10th or Wikipedia 11th anniversary?
To: wikix-l(a)lists.wikimedia.org
Hey Itzik (and everyone),
I have a notion. There's no reason we can't have months, or a full
year, of celebrations. But I also think it'd be great to have multiple
celebrations around the world on January 15, and I was thinking it
might be interesting to have a couple of board members + staff members
to go out and be present at some of those. For example, I think Barry
is thinking about spending January 15 in Bangalore, with the chapter
there.
So I'm curious to know: who is planning celebrations in their country,
and might want to have a board member or staff member come and
celebrate with them? Or, who might be willing to organize something?
I say this in part because there will likely be a January 15
celebration in San Francisco. But there's no reason it should be the
primary event. So if others are planning celebrations, or are willing
to plan them, the Wikimedia Foundation would be willing to help -- by
providing guest speakers, swag/outreach materials, or whatever else
would be useful.
Thanks,
Sue

1. Comentassem sobre os banners na página
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Fundraising_2010/Messages/Language/pt

O JohnR sugeriu (
http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_Discuss%C3%A3o:Projectos/Pa%C3%ADses…)

No entanto, eu procuro sempre conseguir a unanimidade.
(ver
http://blog.wikimedia.org.uk/2010/09/announcing-registration-now-open-for-g…
).
http://pt.wikimedia.org/wiki/Plano_de_actividades/2010-11). As conferências

So I will switch to English, but feel free to contact me
in Portuguese.
This year's fundraiser is intended to be a collaborative and global
effort, we recognize that banner messages that perform well in the
United States don't necessarily translate well, or appeal to Portuguese
speaking audiences and also differ depending on which country we are
targeting. No one knows better what will appeal to Portuguese readers
and editors than you! Therefore, I am asking the whole Portuguese
community via the BR and PT mailing list to get involved in the banner
conversation. Which banners make sense in Brazil, which make sense in
Portugual, which work for both? We need to generate more discussion on
the meta banner pages.
We're currently asking volunteer chapters and a number of language
communities to help us maximize the potential of the fundraiser by
getting deeply involved in the messaging, planning, and execution of
this year’s fundraiser. We want everyone in the community to get
involved to make sure we have a fundraiser that represents all of us.
Our first steps are to suggest and translate banners, and start a
discussion in your community. What can we do to improve Fundraising and
localize messages? On the Fundraising meta page we've started the banner
suggestion process, analysis of tested banners, and recruiting volunteers.
I'm here both to answer questions as they come up and to listen to your
feedback about what types of messaging will work and won't work. We'll
constantly be tweaking or changing things, based on your input, to try
to make everything as perfect as possible for the readers and donors in
your language and region. Use the talk pages on meta, talk to your local
communities, talk to others, talk to us, and add your feedback to the
proposed messages as well. I look forward to working with you during
this year's fundraiser, please feel free to contact me with any
suggestions or questions about the fundraiser this year.

Hello Wikimedians,
My name is Deniz and I am working for the Wikimedia Foundation during
the 2010 Fundraiser as the liaison between the Portuguese community and
the Foundation (I'm also in charge of social media this year, if you
have any interest in getting involved). I'm a Wikimedian, mostly active
on commons as dmgultekin & on Meta as dgultekin, based in San Francisco;
I've been editing as an IP since 2007, but only became 'official' in
2009 after working as an in-office volunteer in Communications for 18
months before joining the fundraising team in August. I had the pleasure
of meeting a few of you at Wikimaia this past summer :)
