Hi Cascadians,
Please check out these logos and voice your preferences. The early favorite from tonight's discussion is the logo in the upper right corner of this image file.

We need a decision by end of day Wednesday so that the website can be updated Thursday, and so that I can print business cards on Thursday, in advance of the workshops on Friday and Saturday.
Thanks!
Pine
I like the one it the upper right corner. I like its aesthetics best & I think it is the most consistent with the Wikimedia logos.
Well done!

I also prefer the one of the top-right corner of these four options. On the off-chance the designer is willing to incorporate feedback, I wonder what it might look like with the red circle suspended higher and a Doug fir tree centered, more like this one: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Wikimedia_Cascadia_logo.svg.
The OCD side of me is slightly distracted by the off-centered red circle, and I wish it were slightly more reminiscent of the Doug fir (Cascadia) flag, but my critique is delivered as someone who has no ability to do graphic work in any capacity. I appreciate that someone has offered to deign logos on our behalf and thank them for their time and assistance! :) I will be happy with whatever we choose based on consensus.

I also prefer the top right one.

I don't mind the off centered circle but I had the same thought about the tree. The flag tree is also a bit more iconic as opposed to representational (i.e., one color) which I think makes it look a little bit better as a logo.

I presume that this is an image of the flag to which Jason & Mako are refering: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Flag_of_Cascadia.svg
That image is CC-BY-SA-2.5,2.0,1.0. So if we take the image of the tree, I believe we would need to acknowledge Alexander Baretich. However, if we take it as inspiration & create somewhat different version of a conifer, well, that's a different matter.
