Hello Offline fans,
In 2021, I plan to get a Spanish version of WikiFundi created with the help of Antonio (u:Tonygarfume)https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Tonygarfumeand Kiwix.
Reminder : WikiFundi (1) is a software that provides off-line editing environment that mimics the Wikipedia environment. WikiFundi allows for training and contribution when technology, access and electricity outages fail or are not available at all. It enables individuals, groups and communities to learn how to edit Wikipedia, and to work on articles collaboratively. It requires a local server (such as a raspberry PI)which will provide a local wifi network to which editors may contact. Once completed and connected to the internet, the articles produced can be uploaded to Wikipedia. WikiFundi is primarily disseminated at the moment through the Kiwix environnement. It is for example used during the WikiChallenge Ecoles d'Afrique, a writing contest that run in (mostly rural) schools of 8 francophone countries (2)
I am currently looking for interested people to provide any help they think relevant, with the amount of time and energy they can afford. Any little help welcome.
If you are interested, please answer me, publicly or privately, and drop your username signature on the project page (3) so that I can contact you.
Help could be
a) help to develop the content pages of WikiFundi (I am in particular looking for people super knowledgeable with the our pillars, NPOV and such, to list and summarize those pages) b) provide additional educational resources to be put on WikiFundi. Currently all the resources are either in English or French. Looking for fresh relevant resources in Spanish to be added c) beta testing, fixing links, language, typoes, page review with good eyes d) translate the userguide in Spanish ! e) when the software is ready, helping to relay the info, to communicate about it (such as writing a blogpost in Spanish about it, or hosting a post, or hosting a webinar to talk about the software etc.) f) and using the software in disconnected areas, providing feedback and telling the story g) more ?
Please no one be shy.
Florence

Dear Florence,
I'm fr-4, en-3, pt-4 and es-N. Also I also have experience translating and programming (in the past I helped with the development of an installer for kiwix but now I am focused on activism for Venezuela and Cuba). I would be very happy to be able to collaborate with this project, please send me the tasks that are necessary to start working on this project.
Thanks
