I can do that and everything is already there. I used to deal with whole
dumps of Wikipedia to generate ZIM files for [
http://www.kiwix.org
Kiwix]. Here, as example, a
[
http://tmp.kiwix.org/wikipedia_kowiki.html.png demo file of the
"Wikipedia" article in Korean]. Unfortunately, I do not own the hardware
necessary to do it for the whole Wikipedia in English (but no problem
for the others). ~~~~
FYI, I have used the "gnome-web-photo" tool.

They "only" need all the articles in raster image format, they say. I
think their safest bet would be to take an HTML/ZIM dump and then use
one of the many tools like
http://khtml2png.sourceforge.net/ to get a
PNG or other image format, but it would be nice if some of you could
give some better informed advice.
