Dowload old versions of a file from archive

Hi, Is it possible to download old versions of a file (image, pdf ..) with the function MediaWiki::API->download( $params_hashref )<http://search.cpan.org/%7Eexobuzz/MediaWiki-API-0.39/lib/MediaWiki/API.pm#M…>? When I tried to call this function for example with filename * 'File:20120606205541!Test.txt'* which is located in directory images/archive/ I got empty result. According to the documentation of the download function, it means the file doesn't exist on the MediaWiki. *"If the file does not exist (on the wiki) an empty string is returned. If the file is unable to be downloaded undef is returned.*" Thanks.

MW API: Query to list all links on the provided page doesn't return link to files

Hi, I have a problem with MediaWiki API when trying to get links of all files (images, pdfs, etc ..) which are included in given page. With the MW API I can get the all other links but no links to media files. Ex.: I have a MW with Main Page, which contains following links (all links are working when click on them): .. [[File:Test.txt]] [[Test Page]] [[www.google.com]] .. I use Perl interface to MediaWiki API. Variable $page contents the hash with properties of 'Main Page'. my $query = { action => 'query', prop => 'links', titles => $page->{title}, pllimit => 50, }; my $mw_links = $mediawiki->api($query); but when I write out the content of $mw_links->{query}->{pages}->{$page->{pageid}}->{links}, I get only the titles of the two following links: Test Page Www.google.com I don't get the name of the link to File:Test.txt. I tried to play also with the namespaces (option plnamespace, for ex. plnamespace = 6,) but it doesn't show the link neither. I get the same result when I write it directly to the url: http://localhost/mediawiki/api.php?action=query&prop=links&pllimit=50&title… Am I missing something? Thank you for response. Pavel Volek

Problem with upload file url

Hi, When uploading a file using the mediawiki API, i use this Url of the Upload page: $url= *" http://localhost/mediawki/index.php/Special:Upload"; *But is this variable configurable*? *I mean* *to get the url in any wiki langagues. Because the french wiki have the different url for this page, for exemple: $url= *" http://localhost/mediawki/index.php/*Spécial:Téléverser*" *instead Best regards.

Get the number of the revision when deleting a file attachment?

Hi, When deleting a file attachment via the Mediawiki::API->edit, how to get the revision number at that moment? For example, when i upload a file, i can find it by the query: *# Find the number of revision of the page which has the id="$id"* * my $query = { action => 'query', prop => 'revisions', rvprop => 'ids', pageids => $id, }; my $result = $mediawiki->api($query); .......................................................................... *But, when deleting a file, we can't use this mechanism. I wonder if the API support a function to get this number of revision? Thanks.

Identification of namespaces

Hi, when enumerating file pages (File:...), I need to specify namespace to be enumarated so when makeing the query I set "apnamespace=6". But my question is, whether the id of namespace of media files is always the same (in every instalation of mediawiki), always "6". Thanks a lot. Pavel

UploadWizard campaign info API format

I'm adding an API module to retrieve UploadWizard upload campaign information, which we need for the upcoming mobile application for Wiki Loves Monuments. Essentially the app will include a very limited implementation of a couple steps of UploadWizard for things like license selection and filling the ID field and description, so we have one consistent set of configuration for both web upload (using UploadWizard) and mobile uploads (using the app). The change waiting review in gerrit: https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/7832/ If anybody's got a prime usage in mind for reading UploadWizard campaign data from the API and has recommendations for adjusting the output format (maybe for making the editing view more AJAX-y) please give a shout -- this is not final and we can adjust it.
