Depends on how you look at it.
It is forced to be uppercase. Any lowercase letter as the first letter
will be 'rewritten' as uppercase.
So, one way is right and the other is corrected for.
Conclusion: no. First character is always upper case, not insensitive
(ie: please don't refer to me as "greg G").
