MediaWiki has a nice little feature called "live preview" which is in
the "advanced options" under "editing".
This eliminates the annoying page reload when previewing - instead an
AJAX spinner comes up and only the previewed content is
injected/replaced into the page. This makes editing a fair bit more
responsive and pleasurable.
It's off by default, presumably because it breaks in some browsers
and/or doesn't degrade gracefully. With some more testing and polish,
this should be something we can turn on for all users.
