Hey everyone --
Here's a bit of Winedale in the springtime, the only pretty ring-time. These wonderful photos give you a bit of a sense of what the 2011-12 Shakespeare at Winedale Outreach kids were up to on April 28 as they filled the grounds of Winedale with words, songs, play, and great fun.
They were taken by the mom of a Camp Shakespearean -- Caroline Poe, a terrific photographer. Check out the slideshow! Her daughter Ly will be in the second session of Camp this year, I believe.
Enjoy! And hope to see you out there soon.
Love,
cs

A thing of beauty, mystery, grace and real joy - you should be very proud. I particularly like #176 and #181 ("curtain")

Oh, and the slideshow continues on to the UT Children's Shakespeare Festival. Just stunning images, really. Each kid glows in his or her moment. Beautiful.
Let the slideshow go, put on some wonderful music of your choice (I had Sonny Rollins goin'), and then see if you can figure out what plays and scenes each of the moments are from. I know there are lots of photos, but if you let it roll, and drop in now and then, you'll catch some just wonderful glimpses of what these kids have poured their hearts into this year. The spirit of Winedale lives on in all of these young players.
By the way, Caroline Poe donated her time to take these. Someone hire her for your next event! She is amazing.
Best,

Michael: You hit it out of the park, man. Congratulations, not just on the speech, but on all you've done to bring great stories that teach great things to all of us.
