This story shall the good man tell his son; And Crispin Crispian shall ne’er go by, From this day to the ending of the world, But we in it shall be remembered — We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; For he today that sheds his blood with me Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile, This day shall gentle his condition: And gentlemen in England, now a-bed, Shall think themselves accurs’d they were not here; And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks That fought with us upon St. Crispin’s day.
Cheers,
Doc

I would absolutely feel accursed if I heard of Winedale and realized I’d missed it.
Takes me a nanosecond to answer any “favorite teacher” security question.
Love to you and all I’ve met thanks to you. Half a century on, the things I have gained from all of you are as vivid and vital as ever.

We are no longer few but we are certainly happy. Especially in the old meaning of "happy," i. e., fortunate. Doc, I looked up St. Crispin, never having thought to do so before and learned he was a shoemaker; cobblers used to take a "Shoemaker's Holiday" on his feast day. All these years of studying Shakespeare and this had completely got by me! So thank you for my continuing education and for the education I've long cherished from you and from my fellow students. In my mind, I'm still in the circle.

I cannot read nor even think of this piece from Henry V without tearing up. Typing now even. We few. We happy few. But the power and belief and trust of those few. It is only ever that special combination that changes the world.
Happy to be among the many lucky few. Of you.

All these years of studying Shakespeare and this had completely got by me! So thank you for my continuing education and for the education I've long cherished from you and from my fellow students.
