On Facebook, Britt announced that her husband, Ron Pratt, has died. On February 8, she wrote this:
'Hi friends. My husband, friend of my heart, Ron Pratt, passed away peacefully yesterday. He was at home and I was with him. So yes, I was not quite intending to be cryptic about my news. I just wanted to change my profile picture. For obvious reasons. Thank you for the love. If you are so inclined, hold us in your hearts during this transition.'
Her current email address--as I've just confirmed with her--is brittblock@hotmail.com.
I first met Britt in the Spring 1979 Winedale class, which also included Jeanne McCarthy, Bruce Meyer, and Robin Mize, if I recall correctly. I considered myself very lucky to be there with these remarkable people, who also participated in the 1979 summer class. I particularly recall Britt's final weekend performance in a scene from Shaw's SAINT JOAN.
Love to all of you,
Mike
Thanks for passing this on to us , Mike. I will be writing her. Doc

Right now I am looking at a photo of the 1981 class on the front porch of Lauderdale House. Can name every one of you!
