Hey everyone –
I wanted to give a shout-out to Winedale alum Andy Bond, who is in the home stretch of playing Lear for the Baron’s Men troupe in the “wooden O” of the Curtain Theatre on the shores of Lake Austin (poster below!). Fellow Winedaler Robert Deike is also in the production, playing Kent. A group of Outreach students will perform moments from “Lear” as a Curtain curtain-raiser before this Saturday evening’s performance. I’m looking forward to seeing Andy and Robert tackle these rich and challenging roles.
For those of you in the Austin area, I believe tickets are still available for tonight, Friday and Saturday: https://thebaronsmen.org/season/king-lear/
Cheers,
cs
