Dear Camp Shakespeare Supporters,
Unfortunately, members of our Session Two class have contracted COVID and
in an effort to reduce community spread and ensure the continued safety of
our students, staff, and audience members we have collectively decided to
end the Camp Shakespeare program early and not move forward with the public
performances of *Macbeth *this weekend. (July 15/16/17)
We are heartbroken. We are also very grateful for the week we had together
as a class. The students formed strong friendships and deeply enjoyed the
exploration of their play. We did too.
This does not affect the college program— all three of their plays are
moving forward and they look forward to hosting you at the Barn this summer
to enjoy them.
We hope you and yours are well.
With Gratitude,
Robin Grace & Doc

It was great getting started again after the Covid lapse of two years. The As You Like It in Session 1 was great fun and indeed well-received and the group was perhaps the best prepared of any in 20 years. Can’t wait to begin Macbeth.
By the way, I thing you have heard there is a November reunion in the works. I hope you are interested in coming. Please contact Mary, Maggie, Gail, or Madge.
I”m also inviting you to participate in the UT Hornraiser: please check this out: Link to make a donation to the HornRaiser: https://hornraiser.utexas.edu/project/31931 <https://hornraiser.utexas.edu/project/31931> It is a fund-raising effort guided by Robin and backed by Madge (who did the first one last summer) to gather some money for Camp Shakespeare. The window for giving closes Judy 15. Thanks for thinking of that.
I hope that all of you are well. And safe.
Love,
Doc
