Reunion 2010

Well here we go! The reunion "weeklongers" will be arriving tomorrow afternoon to work and play on some 11 scenes toward a performance on Saturday, August 14 at 2:00. On Thursday, some 15 will be joining them. According to our latest count, some 250 former students will be gathering here. We will be thinking of all of you who cannot attend and especially those we have lost. We will be filming not only the performance but idle conversations, reminiscences, and rehearsals. DVD's of those will be available later. At this point, the performance is sold out. However, we will have standing room and sitting on the cedar floor beams available as well as plenty of water and gatorade. We do not want to turn anyone away. I have been organizing all the photos I have by years. I have them published to... http://gallery.me.com/vrangus#gallery There are a few years that have several photos (especially 1975-77), but there are some years that are underrepresented. I have NO PHOTOS for the 2000s!!?? Those should be the digital ones, and easy to share, so please, all you young Winedale Whippersnappers, get your photos to me so you guys can be in the slide show. You and your peers are the only ones that still have eyesight good enough to see the screen, and it would be a shame if there were no photos of you! The photo I have are organized in groups by years. Some of the years are out of order. I can't figure out why, and I'm not smart enough to fix it, so you may have to browse around a bit... There are also groups of photos for the Memorial Students. So far I have photos for Ken Gonzales, Valerie Vescovo, Steven Stepan and Donald Britton. If you have more photos of any of these individuals, or know of other alumni that should be honored, please let me know. I have tried to go in and grab all the photos I saw in the Winedale Group emails, but I may have missed a few (or a thousand). If you have shared pictures, please take a moment to look at your years or the memorial person's group to make sure I have the photo included. If you don't see your photos there, I don't have them!!! Help! Please take a few minutes to upload the your photos to the proper year. Please! Please? You can upload with the upload button, or use the email link on each page to "email" the photo to the page. If you have photos you have not shared yet, this is your last chance. 2010 Class

I highly recommend going to one of the performances this weekend, if you can. This class is fantastic. All of the plays were great performances, but I think that their Twelfth Night may have been the best one I have ever personally seen. Apologies to other classes who performed Twelfth Night...clearly I haven't seen you all, so I can't judge. But go see for yourselves. They are wonderful. Very impressive. I uploaded a video to Vimeo of the class band performing a song from Dekker's The Shoemaker's Holiday (holla, class of '89!). Unfortunately, it didn't finish coding till the middle of the night, and I'm blocked from Vimeo at work, so I can't give you the link right now. I tagged it "Winedale," "Shakespeare," and "Dekker," so you should be able to search for it. So, ladies and gentlemen, please be sure to check out on Vimeo...The High-Minded Strumpets! OK, here's 1989. They seem so random that year. I think I might have been more preoccupied than the year before. We did "2 Gents," "Shoemaker's Holiday," and "Merchant."
