Sometimes, issues posted up in the mailing list gets fixed faster than on the talk page. Sometimes :)
In the mailing list, all see and those responsible can respond. But on talk pages, unless i go there, i won't know someone somewhere has a problem.

Just a thought: shouldn't this topic be dealt with on the talk page of the article in question...?

We don't need a political map for our India article, we need a travel map
- it should include areas that one can currently access and are controlled
by India. The Kashmir dispute can be noted in the article, but the map needs to be a travel map that serves the traveler, that's our primary goal

There are multiple maps on commons. This one may be better:
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:India_in_its_region_%28disputed_hatc...
However, it shows disputed territories hatched. Those appear to be the
areas
which India currently controls but that China or Pakistan also claim.
If so, the
caption needs to make that clear.
Isn't there also at least one region in the West of Tibet which India
claims but
China controls? should that be shown?
