I just posted something at
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Xiamen#Tourism_and_Shopping_Sections
I think it points to a more general problem. Given that in many
cases both WV and WP will have articles on the same place, do
we need to clarify what goes in which article, which things should
be in both, how the style will differ?
I know there are policies that cover much of this; I have read
most of them and remember some. My question is whether
we need anything more since we can expect a large influx of
editors soon and many will have WP experience but not WP
or even WT.
Hi all, could somebody please send me the link to the press release page?
Will translate it to swedish for our Wikimedia chapter.
Regards,
Riggwelter/Mattias
Hello all
We are discussing what text should accompany our logo. We have a straw poll
up and running.
The hope is to officially launch on Wikipedia's birthday so a little
pressed for time.

Hey All
If we launch on the 15th of January it will occur on Wikipedia's Birthday.
Jay Walsh thinks that this would be a good way to promote both events.

Wikidata does not wish to do an official launch so I guess it will be just
us. We also need to figure out what sort of site wide notice we wish. I
will add it to the press release page.

Hi
I am 13 days late to this, but my two attempts to forward this to the list
13 days back bounced (the first because I included an attachment and the
second because I sent it from a different email) and then I was travelling
and couldn't devote time to the list.
Can some admin or bureaucrat look into the below mail? My understanding was
that we can block users and delete user pages, but I didn't realize we
could delete users. But things might have changed with the new Mediawiki..
The user in question is a Wikitravel import, but still, is there a way to
purge objectionable users?
(The attachment the mail refers to has been deleted because I can't send it
to the list. Arun, if you could find a way to share the PDF, that would be
great)

Ravi,
I created a PDF page of the Bangalore Wikvoyage page:
In the credits I noticed a list of contributors. (Page 42 of attached PDF)
One of the user anmes is titled:
"Wikitravel's anus is raped by Grawp's massive cock"
This is rather objectionable and uncalled for.
I am sure this violates some principle of Wkivoyage and can take speedy
deleted.
Request your help as admin.
regards
Arun
