On behalf of Thunderhead and the Election Coordinators.
Hello everyone, The July 2007 Arbitration Committee[0] Election will begin accepting nominations on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 22:00 UTC, and voting will begin on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 22:00 UTC. Wikinewsies will have the opportunity to choose three candidates to be elected to the Arbitration Committee for the upcoming year. The Arbitration Committee is the ultimate dispute resolution authority in the project.
The election will be conducted on-wiki on the election page[1]. Prior to the voting phase, there will be a a nomination phase where established Wikinewsies can nominate other users for the position. In order to nominate a user, you must meet the eligibility requirements (see below). Nominees, however, need not meet any requirements in order to take part in the election.
The three candidates with the most votes will be appointed to the committee after the votes have been verified by the Wikinews Arbitration Committee Election Coordinators. In the event of a tie, a run-off election will be conducted.
Once a user has been nominated, the candidate must accept the nomination before it will be considered valid. Election Coordinators will be regularly checking for fraudulent nominations and votes, and these will be removed if they do not meet the requirements below.
To be eligible to vote for or to nominate a user, a contributor must have made his or her first edit on the English Wikinews before June 1, 2007, and must have had at least 250 edits on the English Wikinews before July 1, 2007.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask one of us, either here, in private email, on IRC, or on Wiki.
Many Thanks,
Thunderhead, BrainNewZealand and Martinp23

It's not clear from here, or on the wiki page (that I can see, anyway; though I might have over looked), if one can nominate themselves.
I know that in other elections on various wikis, it is possible for one to nominate themselves, as long as they met the requirements. However, due to the purpose of ArbCom, I can understand if this will not be possible.
On another note, can an Administrator of this list email me privately, so I may correctly update my information.
