গতকাল যুব প্রত্যাশা সংগঠনের সম্পাদক আব্দুল হামিদের সাথে আমার উইকি কর্মশালার
ব্যাপারে কথা হয়েছে। এই আলোচনা অনুযায়ী,
১) সম্ভব হলে মে মাসের কোন একটি রবিবার কর্মশালা করা হবে।
২) বাংলা উইকিপিডিয়ার সাথে সাথে উইকিসংকলনের কর্মশালাও করা হবে। (যদিও আমি
দুটো আলাদা দিনে দুইটি কর্মশালার পক্ষপাতী, কিন্তু সেটা বিভিন্ন কারণে হয়তো
সম্ভব নয়।)
৩) যুব প্রত্যাশা কম্পিউটার, ইন্টারনেট, প্রজেক্টর ও ঘরের ব্যবস্থা করবে।
৪) যাঁরা অভ্র কী-বোর্ড ব্যবহারে স্বচ্ছন্দ শুধুমাত্র তাঁরাই এই কর্মশালায় যোগ
দেবেন।
৫) উইকির ব্যাপারে উৎসাহীরাই একমাত্র কর্মশালায় অংশ নেবেন, যুব প্রত্যাশা সেই
ব্যাপারে নিশ্চিত করবে। এর ফলে কর্মশালার পরেও তাঁরা যাতে উইকির সম্পাদক
হিসেবে কাজ চালিয়ে যান, তার সম্ভাবনা বাড়বে।
৬) কর্মশালার আগেই উইকির বিভিন্ন মূল নীতিমালার সারাংশ বা লিঙ্ক
অংশগ্রহণকারীদের দেওয়া হবে, যাতে তারা উইকির নীতিমালা ও কর্মপ্রণালী সম্বন্ধে
অবহিত হয়ে কর্মশালায় অংশ নিতে পারেন।
বাংলা উইকি সম্প্রদায়কে এই বিষয়ে মেলিং লিস্টে সক্রিয় ভাবে আলোচনার জন্য ও
কর্মশালা সঞ্চালনে অংশ নেওয়ার জন্য অনুরোধ করি। প্রসঙ্গতঃ জয়ন্তদা উইকিসংকলনের
ও প্রাচোতোষ উইকিপিডিয়ার কর্মশালা সঞ্চালনের জন্য সম্মত হয়েছেন।

সুধী,
সকলের জ্ঞাতার্থে অত্যন্ত আনন্দের সঙ্গে জানাচ্ছি যে, গত চার মাসে উইকিসংকলন
প্রকল্পে প্রায় চার লক্ষ পাতা ওসিআর সম্পন্ন হয়েছে। পাতা নামস্থানের নিরিখে
বিশ্বের সকল উইকিসোর্স প্রকল্পের মধ্যে বর্তমানে বাংলার স্থান এখন তৃতীয়
(ইংরেজি ও ফরাসির পরেই) এবং ভারতীয় ভাষার মধ্যে প্রথম।

বর্তমানে উইকিসংকলন প্রকল্পে ১৭৬০টি বই আপলোড হয়েছে, যার মধ্যে বহু বই অত্যন্ত
দুষ্প্রাপ্য। প্রতিদিন আরও অনেক বই আপলোড হয়ে চলেছে।
বর্তমানে এই সকল বইয়ের মেটাডাটা সংশোধন এবং উইকিডাটার সঙ্গে সংযোজন করা এবং
বিশেষ করে বিপুল সংখ্যক পাতা প্রুফরীডিং প্রয়োজন। এই সকল কাজের জন্য সকলকে
উইকিসংকলন প্রকল্পে সারা দিনে কিছু সময় দেওয়ার জন্য সকলকে অনুরোধ করছি।
