Would there be interest in doing outreach at WSU to librarians, students, etc? If there will be a UW edit-a-thon around the January through March timeframe, perhaps we can have a similar event at WSU with a similar plan?
Another Believer, as an experienced edit-a-thon and outreach person, it would be great to hear your ideas along with Christine's. I'm hoping that Christine would agree to be the lead organizer for a WSU event. Any thoughts? Christine, what sounds good to you?

I would be interested, I may also have a rapport with the the librarians that Christine mentioned in the other thread,[Wikimedia Cascadia] [Gendergap] Look who's in the paper!! :), having been a part-time reference librarian at Hawaii Pacific Library for the last eight years, & having interned at the Lipponcott Library at the Wharton School of Business a while back.
On a logistical note, {{As of today}} from Seattle to Spokane appears to be a 4½ hour drive, $95 round-trip (web only fare) +/- & a 5 ½ hour ride on Greyhound, & airfares are $150 round-trip courtesy of the Alaska - Delta fare war (about an hour's flight). Your mileage (& cost) may vary from elsewhere ...

Peaceray and all:
This is my first post to this list, glad to be here. I would really like to work with WSU and its librarians to do some WP stuff on campus and in the community. I'm happy for the resource of the Cascadia group. I'm also happy to serve as the main organizer for a joint U-Dub/Wazzu event. I have an email out to one of the librarians suggesting that we hold an event next semester, but I haven't heard back from her yet. I'll suggest the joint event as we communicate more.
As far as travel from Seattle to the west side: Remember, WSU is in Pullman, which is another 1 1/2 hour drive from Spokane. If you fly into Spokane, you'd have to drive here. You could also fly into the Pullman Airport, which is small and more expensive. You could also fly into Lewiston, ID which is a 45 min. drive from Pullman. I suggest the Spokane Airport.
I'll keep you posted as things develop.
