On a logistical note, {{As of today}} from Seattle to Spokane appears to be a 4½ hour drive, $95 round-trip (web only fare) +/- & a 5 ½ hour ride on Greyhound, & airfares are $150 round-trip courtesy of the Alaska - Delta fare war (about an hour's flight).
