There has been discussion that Wikipedians want more video. Videos are requested as tutorials, to document events, and to document presentations that individuals give.

My friend Nadya will be at the Wikipedia Cascadia meetup scheduled for tomorrow at Cafe Allegro. She is an amateur filmmaker. I like her work https://vimeo.com/16081451. I was thinking that perhaps it might be fun for all involved if she did filming at wiki-events.

Please multiple people at the meetup tomorrow be kind to be ready to speak on camera for 1-3 minutes about the wiki-topic of your choice. Rehearse a friendly message. Be ready. I am hoping to help her integrate more videos into more places on Wikipedia. Perhaps any of you could explain your favorite Wikipedia policy or, or chose one of the CSD criteria and speak for a minute on why Wikipedia needs to delete that kind of article. A lot of new users wonder about the codes so maybe a video for one of the codes would clarify things. You all are the talent but she will convert the videos and I will help her with upload and posting them.

More videos is better. Please, at least a few of you in attendance, be kind to be on camera for something just for a few minutes. No shyness! We do not have enough videographers among us and if she fits then I hope she can find a place as wiki enters the future.
