Hi Anna,
based on the publicly available submitted winners
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Earth_2023/Winners
and the public list of participating countries
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Earth_2023/Participat…
(the difference is probably an indicator but not entirely the same as the
set of countries that did not submit winners): Central African Republic (0
uploads), Chad (0), Democratic Republic of Congo (218), Ivory Coast (313),
Gabon (0), Guinea (7), Haiti (12), Mali (4), Rwanda (38), Senegal (1696),
Togo (68).
Some of these countries may have submitted privately, but it looks like
most of these countries are based in Africa. If the number of uploads is
very low, I can imagine a scenario where there are no uploads of a quality
that the national jury/organizers feel it justified to send them to the
international finale.
I would love to understand also a bit better what was the cause that some
countries were unable to submit winners, and perhaps if there are ways that
the international community can help these organizers next time.
Best,
Lodewijk

Hi!
Thanks for the results. Can you share the list of 8(?) countries that
couldn't submit winners for the international round?
And it seems the site post with winners should be fixed. Images are not
optimized.
