We in Germany are currently discussing a timeframe for WLE 2015.
We had 8 weeks (May/June) in 2014. Whilst the time counted for >14.000
uploaded pictures from quite a mass of new users, it also meant a lot of
work for the few german volunteers answering questions and helping users.
We're currently thinking of May,10th to June, 10th 2015 as timeframe for
WLE 2015 Germany.
Since the first week of June is a very common excursion-weekend in germany
(4 days off for most of the country) we wanted to have the first week of
june within the competition.
Is there any current planning in other countries?

Wikimedia Uruguay is discussing a timeframe for WLE 2015 too. We were
thinking of a similar timeframe as WLE 2015 Germany is.
We need more help and guidelines regarding the photocontest, especially in
reference to a suitable software to organize and upload the photos.
Best regards,
Roxana

Hello all,
I just want to leave quick note, that Wikimedia Polska started preparations for local edition of WLE 2015. We are already in touch with General Directorate for Environmental Protection so for now everything looks good. We want to run contest in May of course.
I'm looking forward to seeing this page not-empty :)

Hi and Happy New Year everyone!
First of all, for those who are still unaware, Wiki Loves Earth winners were announced mid-December, and you can find the blog post here : http://blog.wikimedia.org/2014/12/11/wiki-loves-earth-2014-winners-announce…
Now we are happy to present the Wiki Loves Earth 2015 calendars, featuring 12 photos of international winners representing 4 different continents (Europe, Asia, Africa and America)! We are printing 500 copies of these calendars, and all calendars will be printed on recycled paper. And thanks to the grant from WMF, these calendars will be free of charge for WLE participants, organisers, judges and partners - WMF grant covers both printing and shipping costs.
We prefer to send calendars to one person per country (your chapter's office, home address of the main organiser etc.) and let you distribute this calendars within your country: * for countries participating in WLE 2014 - we can provide calendars for your national winners, jury members, volunteers and partners * for countries interested in WLE 2015 - we can provide you some calendars for promotional purposes.
If you want to receive WLE calendars, please send an email to wle(a)wikimedia.org and specify: * address (Latin characters only please, including country and postal code) * number of calendars you want to receive.
We will start sending these calendars by the end of this week (around 15-16 January).
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
Best regards, Mykola Kozlenko WLE international team / Wikimedia Ukraine
