I don't normally reply "me too" to a message but I would like it as well for a different purpose. I'd like to put up a multiple choice question in the form "Which of the following diagrams/graphs best represents bah blah blah" then when users click on one of them, take them to a correct answer, or incorrect answer page. -----Original Message----- From: Karl Wick [mailto:karlwick@yahoo.com] Sent: 02 October 2003 18:31 To: text Subject: [Textbook-l] turning an image into a usable hyperlink in wikibooks
On my organic chemistry textbook I would like to have the feature of having a little icon up in the corner of the editable part of the page that takes the reader back to the table of contents page. Is this possible to code ? How ? Right now if you click on an image it takes you a page about that image. How can I change this destination page to be the contents page for my book ?
Hi all,
I think this is the right time to discuss wikibooks' needs for changes in Wikimedia software.
Basicly there are at least three types of content: * textbooks * courses * wikipedia-like annotated texts and we will at some point (now ?) need some software enhancements.
Besides we might benefit from some editor tools like navigation, multiple choice tests and quizzes, easier tables, annotation etc
Probably it would be best to contact Wikimedia software developers team and ask them for help. Eventually we might try our coding skills ourselves ;-)
