Ideally, your
User-Agent header should identify your client in such a
way that Wikimedia staff are able to figure out who to contact if your
client is somehow engaging in disruptive behavior.
Do they pay any attention to the HTTP "From" header defined in RFC 2616
section 14.22 for exactly that purpose?[1]

If they can't be bothered to set a UA, you'd expect them to set a From
header? I think you have more faith in these people then the rest of us.
