I was looking at the latest revision to the Wikipedia Loves Libraries page http://outreach.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_Loves_Libraries and noticed at the bottom it says:
"Follow us on T[witter] or F[acebook].
The Facebook link leads to the GLAMwiki page: https://www.facebook.com/GLAMWIKI.US
So should the Twitter link be to the @glamwiki account?
Or should both be about Wikipedia Loves Libraries? (I know there is neither a Twitter account or Facebook page for WLL).
I will be supporting all Wiki Loves Libraries content & announcements on both the GLAM-Wiki FB page and Twitter account, but if both exist already for WLL I'm happy for it to be changed to what's most relevant. I post about various GLAM goings ons on the GLAM-Wiki accounts consistently twice a day and I've been happy with the steady increase in followers / likes. (FB = 217 and Twitter = 280).
I try to promote the L in GLAM as much as I can - but could always use more content! : )

Thanks Lori - I added the #WLL hashtag which some of us used last year.
I know promotion of libraries is a hot issue (because most libraries operate in antidiluvian times) - so it's good to know the @glamwiki account is seeking more content.
I'll be wearing my Wikipedia t-shirt at ALA this weekend if anyone wants to stop & say hi and/or brainstorm ideas.
My reasoning was that the "Follow us" stuff is more about bringing people into the fold, whether they are on board for a Wikipedia Loves Libraries event or not. It's also using the main glam@wikimedia.org e-mail contact. I can see the argument for a more clearly "Wikipedia Loves Libraries"-branded Facebook or Twitter account, but I think part of the goal of WLL should be to increase awareness of our GLAM activities, and novelty accounts like that might do the opposite. A WLL-related hashtag might be a good idea, though I think we should talk about whether we don't just want people tweeting on the main #glamwiki hashtag. In any case, though, I think #WLL is probably not distinctive enough, and we might want at least #WLL2012 (#wikiloveslib?).

Which do you prefer: #WLL2012 or #WLL12? I like the second, only because it's shorter and easier to type faster.

I kind of liked #wikiloveslib the most, for descriptiveness, but I understand the need for brevity. I'm not the most avid Twitter user, in any case, so what do I know? :-)

Feel free to ignore this suggestion but hasn't wiki loved libraries long enough, and shouldn't this be more of a two way street? I suggest #wikilib.
