FYI. For designers on the list, this is also on Beta Labs right now, though some patches are still needing merge before Thursday.

Hi all,
This is just a notice that we are making a small series of updates to the button styles in MediaWiki core. These buttons appear on login, account creation, search, and some other interfaces.
This isn't a big change, but I didn't want anyone to be taken by surprise since there are some color changes and so on. On the positive side, those who think our blue action buttons are too Facebook-like may be pleased with the change. ;-)
This is added to Tech News next issue,[1] and you will be able to see it on mediawiki.org as of Thursday, if you want to try it out before it is on your wiki.
Thanks!

The new buttons are a nice advance, thanks everyone.
A next step is the Agora design calls for buttons to be right-aligned, the canonical _Cancel_ [Preview] [Submit] example is at the end of the living style guide < http://ee-flow-extra.instance-proxy.wmflabs.org/w/resources/mediawiki.ui/doc...
The in-progress patch that adds this to login forms is < http://ee-flow-extra.instance-proxy.wmflabs.org/wiki/Special:UserLogin%3E We have to hash out issues with layout and tab order when a row of right-aligned buttons wrap onto a second line.
though some patches are still needing merge before Thursday.
What else besides https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/110316/ ?
Thanks for getting the word out, we should add something to the release notes for 1.23 about the changes.
Really happy to start seeing this stuff out in the world

Just that and bug 60596. Both of which are now fixed. :)
