Yeah, I read it a while back, and agree on both counts. It over-does it a bit, but that's normal for a proof of concept like that.

Step number one: judicious use of serif typefaces. (Not a joke, I think the use of serif h elements in mobile is something we should carry back in to Vector.)
I'd certainly be happy to carry over serif headings to web. +1.
