Return to is set but I have to click the return to link to get back to the article. It seems very unnecessary and effects our CTA workflows by adding an extra step. Kenan - any opinions on this?

Note that Signup is different from Login. https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Account_creation_user_experience https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Foundation_Design/Login Login (at Enwiki at least) does currently automatically send you back to the page you were at. I'm not sure if we'd want to match that for Signup, as the reminder to check/change Preferences is useful... However, a https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:GuidedTour popup (message box pointing directly to the "Preferences" link) might be good.
Ah, see bullet-point #1 at https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:GettingStarted#Features

When I sign up on beta labs for a new account instead of getting thrown back to the article I was on I get this instead: http://imgur.com/zFA7Nql
Has this always been the case or did something change?
I thought we made a decision to move away from this horrible intermediate screen?
