Walter is tirless with the Wikizine and I know that his time is limited.
~ It's time we helped him find interested parties to help breathe new
life into it.
What I'm asking for is not that members of this list take on the
responsibility ourselves. I'm asking that members of this list help me
reach out to the communities to enlist help for Walter, people who will
keep the Wikizine going and allow Walter to take a breather.
Ideas and implementation is what I'm asking for.

It seems we've got about 16 people signed up after our Roll-call
<http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/ComProj/Roll>. So how about we have
another meeting on Wednesday, usual time (20:30 UTC). Is this okay
with everyone?

Hi all,
I just thought of a project that might have some value (or might actually have
been undertaken already quite a bit).
I wonder how challenging it would be to scan meta, WP, and other sites for all
pre-existing print/pdf materials that people have produced - in all languages.
It would be great to have everything listed on the PR area of Meta perhaps?
Any otther thoughts? Been there done that?

Hi all,
As the days go by I'm starting to realize some of the smaller (though highly
important tasks!) for our communications team both at the Foundation and in
chapters around the world.
This story ran today:
http://www.newsobserver.com/business/story/1055062.html
Great piece - and there are some wonderful quotes. We've been managing this
'great quotes' page for a while, but it could really use some updating:
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Praise_for_Wikipedia_and_the_Wikimedia_Proje…
Would anyone be interested in reading the article and proposing some updates to
the quote page - from the story above?
Feel free to discuss suggestions on-list.
If this seems like a workable process I would encourage others to bring stories
forward and add great quotes periodically.
Thanks!

Good afternoon,
Unfortunately my exams are now fast approaching and I can't keep up my
duties as ComProj chair any longer. Thus I am asking if anyone has the
time to replace me in this role. It is very simple - all you need to
do is try and do the organising that Jay doesn't have time for, and
also try and hold the group together when Jay dissapears to press
crises and the like. Any volunteers? Please reply here if interested
(hopefully we won't need any sort of election; this job is hardly
exciting!).
I hope to get back involved in communications over the summer holiday.
Thank you all for letting me work with such a brilliant and effective
group of people in a positive way of getting more volunteers involved
in communications :)
