Sumana, Thanks for posting! There are some amazing images there, and I see that many of them seem to have been added to Commons already by Kaldari's bot, such as this painting: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:WLA_lacma_Clara_Peeters_still_life.jp... A quick search on this "File:WLA_lacma" brings back 381 results. Hopefully this post will help us get the rest on board? Jane

Look at this beautiful watercolor on mica from West Bengal circa 1800. http://collections.lacma.org/node/225266
This is cool.

FYI, I'm in the process of uploading this collection and sorted out the metadata mapping last week. There were a few wrinkles to iron out, as the current catalogue appears to use some lower resolution images that previously were available, so I'm waiting on a reply from LACMA on these points.
You can see progress at < http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Batch_uploading/Los_Angeles_County..., comments and suggestions welcome.
Cheers, Fae
