tineye.com is search for similar images. I think it may be useful to find copyvio sources.

If statistics will be handled in different way it makes sence. However if similarities between new and old ones are predictable (for example, only URL will be different) we could prepare framework (in form of Gadget or Extension). But I'm not the right person to judge on this subject...

I just used it and it found the image quickly. It's great !
