Some useful tips from the English Wikipedia Signpost:
Image maps are now enabled. See http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:ImageMap for syntax usage.
For user Javascript scripts, such as Extra-tabs and Quick-delete and the like, these functions will be useful: http://en.wikipedia.org/skins-1.5/common/wikibits.js

Yes, AFAIK they were enabled on all Wikimedia projects.
