I’m happy to let you know that we just enabled Media Viewer by default on the Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish Wikipedias.

We will send a more detailed update on these survey results later today.
Image load times continue to decline, as more people click on thumbnails, which caches them for faster display, as shown in this graph: http://multimedia-metrics.wmflabs.org/graphs/mmv_performance_image_global
Next week, we plan to release Media Viewer on the Telugu Wikipedia on Tuesday, as well as Wikimedia Commons on Thursday.
