Hi I am 13 days late to this, but my two attempts to forward this to the list 13 days back bounced (the first because I included an attachment and the second because I sent it from a different email) and then I was travelling and couldn't devote time to the list.
Can some admin or bureaucrat look into the below mail? My understanding was that we can block users and delete user pages, but I didn't realize we could delete users. But things might have changed with the new Mediawiki..
The user in question is a Wikitravel import, but still, is there a way to purge objectionable users?
(The attachment the mail refers to has been deleted because I can't send it to the list. Arun, if you could find a way to share the PDF, that would be great)

This is rather objectionable and uncalled for. I am sure this violates some principle of Wkivoyage and can take speedy deleted.

Yikes,
We can't delete accounts but local Oversighters (who can be elected by the community as it grows) and the Stewards ( http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Stewards who can do it globally as well when needed ) have ways to strike the username/userpage etc so that no one (other than other oversights/stewards and staff ) can see it. I'm going to poke them now and have them take a look.
If you want to send me the list please feel free to and I'll pass it on but they may find everything once pointed in the right direction as well.
For people who see things like this happening (or find it later) you can contact stewards on IRC (freenode) in #Wikimedia-stewards almost 24/7 usually (obviously as volunteers it depends but someone is usually around and other active cross-wiki users hang there as well to help) as well as through the request boards on meta.

ahhh sorry, I just realized this was talking about an import ;) and therefore they can't really do much at the moment... but the thoughts stand for what we can do. In general we can't delete a user but we can remove the username from being viewable anywhere (just like we suppress pages and edits if necessary as well).

It will no longer show up in the list of contributors since the pdf creator can't 'see' the username in the history.
