Just a reminder to everyone to please remember to *not* publicize our launch yet!
Until the image transfer is more complete, our admin resources will be stretched very thin, if we get a ream of new editors working on the site.
Thank you,
-Peter
Agree and we should not add this as a sister site to the main page of Wikipedia either,

So there's still no way for willing editors to help with the migration? Should we stick a note on https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wikitravel_Shared_transfer_task_f... saying that no help is needed? (So that people have less headaches.)

No, we need all the help we can get with the image transfer. Just not regular work on the WV language versions, which are already migration-ready.
The image transfer, at least from wts, should be more or less done, I think, by the end of the week. The review process on Commons, on the other hand, will be a very long process.

Where in the world do you get the idea that there's no way for willing editors to help?

We should advertise for help just not for readers
