As you may know that WikiConference India 2023

hosted in the city of Hyderabad, the review of scholarship applications and
selection of participants under different categories
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/WikiConference_India_2023/Scholarships>
have been completed.
Although the current iteration of WikiConference India doesn't support any
hybrid participation, we are planning to release limited slots for
self-funded participation. In short, the self-funded participation is for
anyone who is residing in India and is interested to participate in the
conference at their own expense. If you are interested to participate and
be part of WikiConference India 2023, please fill out the form

Hello all,
I hope you are doing well. The International Mother Language Day 2023
Datathon will start tomorrow (after a few hours at 00:01 am) till 28
February. To contribute please add your name here

We will contribute to Wikidata to add labels, descriptions, Aliases, items
or properties and references to the statements.
We have created the outreach dashboard to track the activities. Here is the

There will be an online session on Sunday. The session will be for 1:30
hrs. Please block your calendar for 4:00 to 5:30 pm. Jinoy will be there
for a training session to introduce basics and the tools like 'TABernacle',
'QS' and 'Mix n Match' that can be used for adding labels and improving the
existing WD item for newbies.

for programs and scholarships for WikiConference India 2023

have submitted their applications, we thank you for your interest and will
be in touch soon with the next steps. For those who are interested please
hurry up and express your interest before the deadline.
Submissions after 14 December 2022, 11:59 pm (tonight) will no longer be

Hello Wikimedians,
Post detailed internal due diligence with the conference COT, with specific
reference to conference operational and logistical challenges, we had to
revise the conference dates.
The new dates for WikiConference India 2023
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/WikiConference_India_2023> are 28, 29, and
30 April 2023 (Friday to Sunday), Hyderabad, India.
The new dates have been finalized after a thorough check to avoid any
overlaps or challenges. We hope this extension will help us arrange
everything to make this conference a memorable experience for everyone.
