The event will be conducted from 1st January 2021 till 14th February 2021 in two segments, details on the event page.

শুভেচ্ছা নিন, আমি নিচে কিছু জিনিস নিয়ে সমালোচনা করতে যাচ্ছি। কাউকে কষ্ট দিতে, কাঠগড়ায় দাড় করাতে নয় বরং এই জিনিসগুলি যেন আমরা শুধরে নিতে পারি তার জন্য।
সর্বপ্রথমে আমি এখানে প্রায়ই বাংলা ভাষায় পোস্ট না দেয়ার বিষয়ে বলব। আমার কষ্ট লাগে যখন আমরা বাঙালিরা দুটো মিনিট ব্যয় করে বাংলায় লিখে এখানে পোস্ট দেই না। আমার গত কয়েক বছরের উইকি অভিজ্ঞতায় দেখেছি, যখন কোন ফরাসি ব্যক্তি ফ্রান্সের কোন মেইলিং তালিকায় পোস্ট দেন তিনি তা ফরাসি ভাষায় দেন, যখন ফাউন্ডেশনের কোন ইতালীয় ব্যক্তি ইতালীয় উইকি বা মেইলিং তালিকায় পোস্ট করে তা ইতালীয় ভাষায় দেন। আমি সকলকে এই বিষয়ে বিনীত অনুরোধ করব।
দ্বিতীয় বিষয়, এই জন্মদিন উদযাপনের আয়োজনটি নিয়ে বাংলা উইকিতে কেন কোন পাতা খোলা হচ্ছে না? আমরা কি কাজ করছি কেবল ফাউন্ডেশনকে দেখানোর জন্য, নিজেদের প্রচারের জন্য? আমরা একদিক দিয়ে ভারতীয় উইকিগুলিতে কার্যক্রম বৃদ্ধির জন্য জোর দেই, অন্যদিকে কোন আয়োজন, কর্মশালা হলে মেটাতে পাতা খুলি। মেটাতে পাতা খোলা যদি সমন্বয়ের জন্য হয়, ভালো কথা। কিন্তু একই সাথে পশ্চিমবঙ্গে উইকিপিডিয়া২০ আয়োজন নিয়ে বাংলা উইকিতেও পাতা খোলা উচিত।
