Welcome to Wikinews-l, Jacques! Or should we call you Divol?
:), Jacques is OK, Dariusz
I am checking why French speaking people into fr.wikipedia are so AGAINST fr.wikinews.
it's strange in my POV.
Don't be so surprised. Right now, the same goes with pl.wikinews. It seems to me, that no one from pl.Wikipedia wants to co-operate with us. I wanted to write up a story about the april fool's joke, and asked the local Wikipedians for their reactions on the Britannica takeover of Wikipedia. Everyone ignored me, and someone even said, that I should ask them for their opinion way later.
Also, just now, after more than a month of existence, the link to Wikinews will be added in the "Current Events" section of pl.Wikipedia on the main page, even though we asked for someone to do that way earlier.
yes, i know, it's a kind of 'Do it yourself'.
But i think it's worst in french case (french is shorter than french speaking people)
i'll try to check and untie the knots, its .... weird the way people had act on the matter wikipedia vs wikinews.
Many french feel very upsets of being forced to accept wikinews from 'foreigners', with rules and ways of making the stuff not very familliars to them. (it's their feeling)
Sad.
but I understand very well their point of view on the mater.
many thinks that wikinews is outside wikipedia "way of life" so reject the project (no editor freedom,...)
They forget that If the creator of wikinews, the living WIKI God himself, said something about the way people may write articles, may use a workflow or templates and so on, it's just ideas, draft framework, draft blue print, ... it's not LAW, it's just a ... 'what do you think of that' .
i think, am I wrong Erik ??? don't think
I think that polish, french, spanish, italian, ... wikinews DONT HAVE TO FOLLOW editorial way from ENGLISH or GERMAN editions. -They could find they own ways,
MORE I think that wikinews DONT HAVE TO FOLLOW editorial way from Professional NewsWriters, journalists. -They could find they own ways.
to finish : French people HATE the need to add [[w:fr:WORD|WORD]] when you write with wikinews, it's so cool [[WORD]]
a pity ... as i begun with wikinews .... ;)
i stop otherwise I put 100 ideas a mail, not good, people don't read ...
see you !
(sorry iff I repeat already well know ideas tortured by numerous frivoulous mind)
if so tell me, you''ll be kind with me. and I stop the noise.
...don't throw the rocks ... :)

PS : Eric, I do not use article namespace to write my article into fr:wikinews, so your number for french is a bit .... how to say .... hard here (http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/User:Eloquence/State_of_the_Wiki) i think the number of articles is upper, much more.
