Hi all,
this is in reference to an upcoming meetup in Mumbai, which is yet to be announced.
Applause's to Nikita Belavate, who wanted the forthcoming meetup to be much more productive one. She wanted to do an editing session, to motivate and explain other non-editing volunteers to edit Wikipedia articles. We have few volunteers who haven't yet involved themselves in editing ever, whereas we believe that the promary and best way of contributing to Wikipedia is by editing and helping the article grow both in quantity and quality. I'm sure its been much gap, since an editing session in Mumbai, and the plan sounded great. +n for it! :)
However, we do always face venue problem, and yeah an editing session will involve a couple of internet connected computers. Will be great if anyone knows any place in Mumbai, where we can use their systems probably for *two hours* for the meetup. Just an attempt to enhance the Mumbai community in absence of some senior volunteers. *Do please let us know*!
Thanks in advance!

Reliance cyber cafe sounds good. They charge for wifi, or is it free? Anyways, a minimal amount should not be an issue. Thanks Suyog! Just wanted to ask you if Reliance world is a cafe type, or will be a conference hall type? I'll also try to visit somewhere this week. Thanks again.

Hii !
Thank you Manan. Its just something came to mind observing past few meetups.
We have had past meetups in cafes. However what has been noticed is that,
- Certain Cafes have relatively loud music. Loud enough to not being able to clearly hear what the person on the extreme end of table wants to say. - There is lack of space. Say for atleast 15 people. Like the CCD and Barista at Dadar(Shivaji park) is very small. - Their Wifi strength is not strong enough and keeps breaking, it kind of breaks continuity. So, for that i guess Datacards can help. Possibly atleast two. I can get one.
So Manan and Suyog, what you think, the cafes you suggested would overcome these things? We could surely think and hold it at one of the place then. Or may be some more suggestions. Also, if we can get a classroom of any coaching institute or so for 2hrs, could also be a good venue in terms of being discussion friendly.
Regards, Nikita Belavate.

Ok, so Bru Cafe is one of them? We will be having the meetup on Saturday as normally, considering the turnout.
I just spoke to someone from the chapter, and they are willing to repay the bills to us, but considering we cant bill them a heavy amount, being a NPO.

Over here in andheri/ versova there are few big cafes with very little crowd! For renting out class rooms we will have to shell out money, I would suggest we try to keep it free only unless we get sponsor for classroom!
Yes, offcourse i meant some member if possible sponsoring it , if they know someone in the institute !

Hii !
Thank you Manan. Its just something came to mind observing past few meetups.
We have had past meetups in cafes. However what has been noticed is that,
- Certain Cafes have relatively loud music. Loud enough to not being
able to clearly hear what the person on the extreme end of table wants to say.
- There is lack of space. Say for atleast 15 people. Like the CCD
and Barista at Dadar(Shivaji park) is very small.
- Their Wifi strength is not strong enough and keeps breaking, it
kind of breaks continuity.

Hi Karthik,
Its indeed a great Idea. @Nikita - Kudos for bringing this up.
Following are few Coffee houses with free Wi-Fi availability while some of us can get our laptops/Tablets for the live demos.
- Generally any Cafe Coffee Day Outlet - Bhandup, Ghatkopar, Nirmal
Lifestyles - Mulund, Hiranandani Gardens, Sion west,
- Bru world Cafe, Andheri and Bandra
Hope, this would be helpful. Also, I can volunteer to bring one laptop from my side. :)
Regards, Manan Shah

Hi all,
this is in reference to an upcoming meetup in Mumbai, which is yet to be announced.
