Hi Bishaka Where can we get a copy of the film: "'Truth in Numbers' to do a screening? I could plan an event in Mangalore and maybe one in Goa (Nirmala institute of Education) we have been working with them on the OLPC programme. It is a teacher training college which has its sister organisation in Mangalore (Roshni Nilaya). I could build on what Hari has done earlier at St Aloysius and St Agnes....if he still has the list of earlier participants to the wiki academy event. *For item 2*. Municipal schools. DBF works with two colleges in Mumbai where student volunteers will be going to the Govt schools in Raigad district during Dec and Jan. Rekha who is subscribed to this list should be able to dovetail it with their programmes as she now handles DBF projects. She's on leave now but will talk to her when she gets back.. These are primary schools but their teachers could be enthused to contribute and use wiki. . Do call the folks at Reliance Webstores. I'm sure they can help in a major way getting students to come to their RWorlds for translation Jams ... they have broadband facilities and Video Conferencing to connect folk. if you have a good proposal with a WIIFM... they may be able to partner in the !0th year celebration in some way. regards Harriet PS: My own knowledge is rather rudimentary and I need to learn way more about it all myself first before diving in at the deep end! If at all you happen to visit schools or any other place if one needs to make presentation or just wants other Marathi friend to know more about Marathi Wikipedia , we do have one online (google) powerpoint presentation .Any one can access and update it at https://docs.google.com/present/view?id=dctcbsf3_1g7fxfvdt . Like wiki any one can edit any time so before any presentation at public place make a point to crosscheck the same . Just to add to Point No. 2 - why do we limit ourselves to Municipal schools. Why not also send volunteers to Private Schools and Colleges in Mumbai to encourage becoming a Wikipedia editor.
