hi,
Creative Commons is visiting India and was interested in working with the Wikimedia India Chapter since the Wikimedia projects are the largest users of the Creative Commons copyright license in India. We've worked with them over the past month or so to hold meetings in Pune (February 15 and 16), Mumbai (February 17), New Delhi (February 20) and Bengaluru (February 25).
The details of their visit can be found here - http://wiki.wikimedia.in/Events/Creative_Commons
warm regards,

Wish we could have a audio or video feed of these events for those far and away! Even a writeup with interesting points would be a great boon!
Warm regards,

Dear Ashwin and friends,
Nominating, Subha, who will be at the Pune and Bangalore events to post the key points at the end of the day to the List. He will also live tweet the event as much as possible and try to be present on the IRC.
We are also exploring of video streaming. Will confirm this once certain.
Hope this is of help and allows remote participation.
Best, Vishnu

if video streaming is too difficult/costly, a low resolution video on Youtube would do, or an audio podcast. It would help if slideshow ppts are made available too!

Audio podcasts are amazing alternatives considering live video streaming, but I could try to record and shoot and upload both audio (like http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Jimmy_Wales_Mumbai_31_October_2010.og...) and video files (like http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Celebrating_the_success_of_Wikipedia_...).
It would help if slideshow ppts are made available too!

I've just been looking for handy solutions, and this looks interesting: vtweet pro, on google play. I haven't had a chance to discover how practical it is for a full-length event, but right off the bat, it seems to me that if several participants divvy up the task, the coverage may turn out quite interesting.
It streams the video to the provider's site, from which viewers can access it at will. So far as I can make out, it is not strictly speaking live streaming, but has the advantage that the broadcaster need to know nothing much more than the art of holding the phone/tablet steady and pointed in the right direction.
I presume that the URL(s) can be embedded in the event page as soon as the upload is over.
