Folks,
Please help select a day for the Seattle Wiknic https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wiknic this August by voting in this Doodle poll: https://doodle.com/poll/vtbv7rsmb68rstnr
Thanks! Peaceray
Looks like August 11 and 25 are the most popular among the Doodle participants. This Saturday is looking potentially rainy, though (thankfully), so perhaps we should go with August 25?

Let's go with the 25th. I will start publicizing it in the next day or so.

Hey All— I’m out of town both dates in August ... but will happily share info about this with new Wikipedia editors / library staff I’ve gotten to know in the seattle area. It would be great to have an Allegro meet up in fall. Until then, Monika

I'm moving to California (just for the academic year! I'll be back!) at the end of August and I'll likely be packing. If I can, I'll come though!

In light of the potential weather situation (smoke returning over the weekend https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/smoke-rolling-back-in-for-the-weekend/), should we have an alternative venue for tomorrow? If not somewhere indoors, perhaps a place that involves less walking to/from transit and parking?

With an hour to go and rain drizzling down, perhaps we should find an indoor location?

I don't know the area, but if the drizzling is too bad when you arrive maybe you can shift to the Lookout Gazebo? Or if there is an accessible place inside the Visitors Center.

If there is a change, obviously you wait to notify everyone immediately, and maybe leave a sign at the advertised location.

Seems already pretty much stopped, I'm guessing we'll be fine. If it's lousy, we can convoy to my house, if nothing else works out.
