Hey Cascadia Wikimedians!
I've just moved from San Francisco up to Portland as my home base; should be able to make it to Portland and Seattle based events pretty easily.
It looks like I'll see some of y'all down in Mexico City in the meantime!
Some of the cool projects I'm working on include fixing up our video and multimedia support and doing research on more semantic document models that can have more flexible formatting and better information linkage. Check out my talk at Wikimania for more soon. :)

Brion,
Welcome to Cascadia!
You may already have the http://cascadia.wiki link. It includes links to our upcoming events & our social media links. The former is more current than the latter sometimes. Right now we have a couple of meetups scheduled on weekday evenings in Seattle, but there is also be a Wiknic in Portland, although this has not been scheduled. I anticipate that there will be some editathons this fall.
I have scheduled two Canada and United States affiliates meetups at Wikimania, Friday, July 17 at 17:30 & Saturday, July 18 at 18:00. I created a page for sign-up & topics at https://wikimania2015.wikimedia.org/wiki/Canada_and_United_States_affiliates.... Right now we have a few folks signed up for Friday evening. I will probably endeavor to send out / place individual invitations in the next couple of days.
There is also a Wiki Cascadia page at https://wikimania2015.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wiki_Cascadia. Quiddity, also from WMF, is also attending Wikimania. He live in British Columbia.
That's it for me at the moment as I need to get back to work. I am looking forward to meeting you at Wikimania!
Yours, Peaceray peaceray@cascadia.wiki (forwards to) raymond.f.leonard.jr@gmail.com

Cool! Welcome to the PacNW, Brion :) I'll try to remember my favorite Portland foodtrucks and prepare a list for you in Ciudad de Mexico.

Welcome from a fellow PDXer. Hope to see you at a meetup soon, or feel free to ping me if you want to grab a coffee some time.

Welcome! I think that you are roughly the 4th WMFer in Cascadia, plus at least two alums.
We haven't picked a day for a Seattle meetup this month, partly because of Wikimania. We'll probably resume meetings in August. We usually meet on a Tuesday.
Are weekends best for you to meet us? We're talking off-list about plans for collaborative events at UW Seattle starting in the fall; we've had a couple of these on Saturdays. Perhaps a Saturday would work better for you?
Also, it would be great to see you at the SeaGL (Seattle GNU/Linux) conference in October!
I should make an excursion to Oregon sometime, perhaps for one of Jason's art editathons or an OHSU event. Jason if you could let me know well in advance when those events are, I will try to visit, and perhaps others will as well.
Cheers, Pine

I'm pretty flexible on times; Tuesdays are fine. Planning a submission to SeaGL on my video work, will have to wrap that up soon!
