Hi all,
I am happy to report that Cascadia Wikimedians User Group now has a mailing address and a registered agent.
Please use this address for all mail, unless there is legal service of process involved:
*Cascadia Wikimedians User Group* *Attn: 3026* *555 116th Ave NE, #242* *Bellevue, WA 98004*
Notes and reminders:
* Our phone number is 206-659-7420
* We can use our allotment of two in-office days per month at the Seattle and Bellevue Impact HUB locations.
* The Bellevue location is offering a temporary 40% discount for our dues while they are doing upgrades to their physical layout. It appears that they will be doing upgrades for at least a few more months. The savings will be passed on to WMDC for the first two months in the form of lower expenditures for the rent that they agreed to fund via the startup grant.
* I am currently listed as the subscriber for Impact HUB. We can have guests and meetings but people will need to be with me for the subscription rate to apply, otherwise we may be charged a per-use fee. If you need to have an event at Impact HUB when I am not present then please let me know ahead of time so that I can ask Impact HUB to accommodate the request.
* Our subscription rate applies only for use during daytime business hours.
<206-659-7420> * Impact HUB provides some member benefits and discounts. The one that looks most interesting to me is a program that connects nonprofits and social enterprises with free legal services by attorneys who join this network: http://www.trust.org/trustlaw/. Considering that the law firm that I contacted about our interest in having our 501(c)(3) application reviewed has been largely unresponsive in the last week, I am thinking that TrustLaw may be the way to go. We might also ask them to review our bylaws to ensure that there are no compliance issues between our bylaws and Washington State laws for nonprofits. I will look into this in more detail when we get closer to assembling a 501(c)(3) application.
Here is our registered information information, *to be used only for legal service of process*: Patty Henry, Paralegal 520 Kirkland Way, Suite 400 Kirkland, WA 98033
I plan to set up our government registrations this week, and once that is done then I can set up our banking services at BECU, hopefully by the end of next week.
Cheers,
Pine
