Hi all,
This is an update on board elections.
A reminder that we use "approval voting", per our bylaws: "A voter in an election for director candidates may only assign one vote per candidate. No cumulative voting shall be allowed. The candidates with the greatest number of affirmative votes shall be designated as elected, with each candidate requiring at least one vote in excess of 50% in favor of his or her election."
The candidates are:
Peaceray Mako Brianhe SounderBruce Jmabel Pine
Please note that while Ragesoss and Another Believer are willing to serve on the board again, they are unable to attend the meeting on December 13. The board members who are elected on the 13th will have the option to appoint these two members to vacant seats. There are a maximum of 9 seats on the board, so if all six of the candidates who plan to be present on December 13 are elected that day, there will still be room on the board to appoint Ragesoss and Another Believer to vacant seats.
A few people are missing paperwork but that should be resolved tomorrow; I will post details on http://cascadia.wiki including candidate statements.
The current plan is to have an opportunity to ask questions of the candidates during the meeting on the 13th prior to voting.
Regards, Pine
