Here at the OpenStreetMap "State of the Map US" conference, I'm picking up some ideas for community building that could apply to Wikimedia. I'll organize my notes and prepare them for discussion at the August meetup in Seattle (which is not yet scheduled, but will be soon via a Doodle poll).
