Hi All,
Lou posted to this list previously about the Art+Feminism edit-a-thon at UW that she’s organizing. I’m posting now to ask for help!
She needs a *real* Wikipedian (or 2-3) to help out on March 3 and/or March 4 [1].
The event info is available via https://wainer2.wixsite.com/artfeminismuw
Any volunteers? :)
~Amanda / Mssemantics
[1] I’m willing to help, but I don’t consider myself a *real* Wikipedian.

I'd like to go but can't make promises because I'm already juggling so many projects! Monika, would you (perhaps within the scope of your OCLC work) be able to support one or both of these events?

Peaceray has already indicated that he'll be there on March 4. I'll be there, too, but probably not as early as 9AM.

Cool. I'd like to attend particularly on Friday but I have a conflicting event. I'll see if I can work something out for at least an hour on Friday or 2 hours on Saturday.

Unfortunately it appears that I'm going to be fully occupied with school and other matters so I likely won't be attending, but I hope that it goes well! I wish that we could have a Wikimedian in Residence at UW, and/or an outreach person for Cascadia Wikimedians, who could support events like these on a regular basis. We've been turned down before for funding from WMF for this kind of work, but maybe we'll have another try this year or next year. I'm also hoping that Monika's work with OCLC will be helpful for this kind of outreach.
Good luck with the events,
Pine
Barring unforeseen work demands, I am planning on attending both the Friday noon workshop and the Saturday morning Edit-a-thon.
Yours, Peaceray

Hi everyone, I've been asked to help organize another Art+Feminism Edit-a-Thon at the UW, this one is happening Saturday, May 6th, at 1pm at the Jacob Lawrence Gallery. I'll send out a more formal invitation once we get things rolling, so consider this a "Save the Date" email :) Hope you see y'all there!

Good job Lou! I would be there but I already have an event that I cannot miss at exactly that time. I hope others can attend and if you send along any materials I'll help circulate to my channels :)

Hi Lou,
Thanks for organizing this. I'd like to be there but I'm so occupied with other issues that I probably can't attend. Hopefully some other Cascadia regulars can be available that day.
