Hi all,
It may be a long shot, but are any interested folks in doing
wiki-events/workshops/editathons near Spokane? I'm new to the area, new to
this mailing list, and looking for ways to connect with my main hobby.
Thanks,
User:Oscar_.

I need some directive as to which way to vote on this on behalf of
Cascadia Wikimedians. My extensive comments are at
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Cascadia_Wikimedians/Joe_Mabel%27s_comments…
.
Peaceray, I'd appreciate it if you would send to our "global" mailing
list, but if you'd rather not, then I can do this myself. Also, if there
is anywhere you'd want to post a link (maybe
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Cascadia_Wikimedians?), please do so.
Should we set up a Zoom meeting some time in the next week or so for
interested parties to discuss this? Or do you think just sending out a
link so people are aware of it, and discussing as a Board, taking in any
feedback we may get by email or on the talk page, will suffice?

Hello Wikimedians,
Bruce Englehardt asked:
It was my understanding that SPL is still having difficulty recovering from
their ransomware attack. Are they still able to host?
I verified that the meeting room itself is available. That has not been
affected by the ransomware attack.
However, the librarian that I spoke to has indicated that their WiFi
services are down due to the attack. I will host the Zoom portion of the
meeting via a hotspot on my phone. This is not optimal, so I will ask that
most Zoom attendees keep their video off & audio muted unless they need to
talk. I think that we should do a round of introductions so that we can get
to see & hear everybody.
