My report on the recently concluded Wikimedia Summit.

Nutshell: if you care at all about Wikimedia budget and governance, this
is big. Barring tremendously unforeseen events, we will have major and
presumably democratizing changes in how the Wikimedia movement
determines strategy, and how the discretionary budget is determined.

Hello Wikimedians,
My apologies, but due to being away for a month, I have not been able to
properly prepare for a May 5 meeting, and all other weekends in May have a
conflict for me. I am therefore suggesting that we meet *June 9 at 1pm PDT*.
Please let me know if this is a generally suitable time and date,
This will be a hybrid meeting via Zoom and in person at a location in
Seattle. The in-person portion will be at the *University Meeting Room* in
the basement of the University Branch
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seattle_Public_Library_University_Branch> of
the Seattle Public Library (SPL).
The SPL has asked that we add a disclaimer that while they are providing a
meeting space, they are not sponsoring the event. Also, if anyone planning
to attend in person has any disability issues that preclude the use of
steps, please let me know in advance so that we can arrange for a librarian
to unlock the accessible entrance, and to let you know where the
appropriate parking is located.
This room will open at 12:30pm to set up for the Zoom meeting. I will send
out the link to this list and anyone who contacts me closer to the date.
Here is a link to our current by-laws:

Again, I am sorry for the delay. I failed to adequately anticipate the lead
time that this required.
