Hello, WMC team. The bylaws are getting close to being done, so if you are interested in the legal dimension of the organization, please go to http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Canada/Proposed_by-laws and review them. Feel free to make any changes that you think will be relatively non-controversial (or are legally necessary), and please voice any other concerns or ideas on the talk page.
In a few weeks we'll close the bylaws to editing and have a meeting to discuss the next steps. I know not all of you will be able to make it to the meeting due to summer travel, school, work, and family issues, but for the next meeting I'll have a clear agenda far enough in advance that you'll be able to email this list or myself to have your concerns and ideas brought to the meeting.

Hello Jeff:
Will we have a set date of the meeting so our schedule can be decided soon enough.

I want to give people enough time to review the bylaws and let people who can't make the meeting write in their comments. I think two weeks should do it. Tomorrow I'll make a page for the meeting on which we can write agenda items well enough in advance that we can all come to the meeting well-informed. -Jeffery Nichols (Arctic.gnome)

Looks good and effective. I still like the Wikimedia Canada Logo I found earlier in the year and the first line before the official sounding stuff should read "Don't forget to have fun!"
Cheers and I should be able to attend meetings, I am just in London.
